This policy covers the website iontheway.info and the internal tool that IÖN uses to manage the IÖN YouTube channel through the YouTube Data API (the OAuth application named ion-the-way-official).
Who we are
IÖN is an electronic music artist and DJ based in Seoul. Contact: ionlabs2025@gmail.com.
The website
iontheway.info is a static site. It does not ask you to sign in, does not run its own analytics, and does not set cookies of its own. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may collect aggregate, cookieless traffic statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Pages link out to streaming services and social platforms; once you follow one of those links, that service's own privacy policy applies. The page shows a poster image for a live-set video; the YouTube player (youtube-nocookie.com) is loaded only if you press play, and from then on YouTube's own privacy policy applies. Fonts and images are served from this site itself. The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
The channel management tool
The OAuth application ion-the-way-official is a private tool used only by the owner of the IÖN YouTube channel. It is not offered to the public and has no other users.
Google user data we access
The application requests a single scope,
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl, and uses it to:
- list, upload and update caption (subtitle) tracks on the channel's own videos;
- read and update the channel's own video titles and language localizations.
It does not access viewer data, comments, private messages, contacts, files, or any account other than the channel owner's own.
How the data is stored and shared
- The OAuth refresh token is stored only on the channel owner's personal computer, in a file readable by that user account alone.
- Subtitle files and video metadata are held only on that same computer for as long as the work requires.
- Nothing is transmitted to any server operated by us, and nothing is sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
- No Google user data is used to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Limited Use
The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and revoking access
Access can be withdrawn at any time from the Google Account permissions page. Revoking access invalidates the stored token immediately. Local copies of tokens and subtitle files are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Children
This site and tool are not directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new date above.
